S&C is extremely important in boxing because its the foundation to building physical power in the ring.

Third, it enhances speed and explosiveness. Strength training combined with plyometrics improves fast-twitch muscle fibers, allowing quicker punches, faster footwork, and sharper reactions.
Fourth, it reduces injury risk. Strong muscles, tendons, and joints help protect the body from the stress of training, sparring, and competition. Conditioning also improves balance and stability, lowering the chance of injury.
